Dear Friends,
Can you believe it’s almost time for the
2009/2010 season to begin?
Whether you are an actor, director, set
designer, stage crew or someone who loves live theater, you are part
of a large family. And we are very proud of what our "family" has
accomplished this past season. With your help, the Brick Street
Players has quickly become known for solid productions with broad
appeal. This has been a fabulous season of growth. Our audience base
has expanded exponentially and we have come to know so many
wonderful new members of our theater family. Please accept our
gratitude to all who have made this season so rewarding.
As most of you know, due to the loss of the
air conditioning system in our auditorium, we have shifted our
season to the school year, instead of the calendar year, and have
shortened the season to four productions. Season ticket prices have
been adjusted accordingly.
Our 2009/2010 regular season lineup will
include:
·
The Great
American Trailer Park Musical (Musical
Comedy) Oct. 9-11 & 15-17, 2009
·
A Night of
Christmas One-Acts Dec. 4-6 &
10-12, 2009
·
The
Star-Spangled Girl (Neil Simon’s comedy) Feb.
12-14 & 18-20, 2010
·
The Watch They
Keep
(Our annual
Mississippi Playwright show) Apr. 9-11 & 15-17,
2010
Titles and show times may be subject to
change without notice
Please see our website at www.clintonbrickstreetplayers.com for a synopsis of each of these great shows.
As one of the nearly 2,500 individuals in our
audience last year, we thank you for your patronage. But you are
special, because your personal commitments have made it possible for
the Brick Street Players to prosper and grow through the years. The
present and future of the company depends on your generosity, and we
are sincerely grateful for your loyal
support.
Almost all performance arts organizations
have been affected by the economy, and the Brick Street Players have
not been immune from this. Despite rigorous control of our
production costs, expenses have increased greatly for the past few
seasons. As a member of the Brick Street Players family, we ask you
to consider increasing your annual gift in recognition of the
special needs of our group and in celebration of our successes.
Thank you for considering our request. A giving category sheet is
enclosed. We look forward to receiving your gift and to seeing you
for all 4 shows next season!
Show times are 7:00pm for all performances
with the exception of 2:00pm for the Sunday
Matinees.
On behalf of the Clinton Brick Street Players
sincerely,
Aubrey
Barnette.
